12th - Snow outside in a motorcoach, not ideal, but for real! Touring the Belle Meade Mansion, historic Site and Winery. Lunch at Martin's BBQ Joint, and sampling at the Blackstone Brewing Co.

15th - Revisiting the Stones River Greenway, Hermitage/Donelson, TN

18th - Obed Wild and Scenic River. Weekend in the Smokies. Weekend cabin rental at Smoky Bear, Cosby, TN.

19th - Daytrip to Pres. Andrew Johnson's Historic Site, boyhood home. Dinner at Gatlinburg Brewing Co, Gatlinburg, TN.

20th - Hiking to and lunch at Fern Branch Falls, GSMNP, TN. Dinner at Ole Red, Gatlinburg, TN.

22nd- Longrun on Stones River Greenway, Half Marathon Training commences (Oak Barrel Half in April). Lunch with Missy and Chels at Doubledog Belle Meade.

27th - Enzo gets a 'trial run' at Camp Bow Wow, doggy daycare in Smyrna TN, whilst we eat lunch at M.L.Rose Craft burgers and brews.

29th - Tulips photoshoot at Cheekwood Gardens, Nashville, TN.

30th - Dinner with my Missy at Chuy's.

April

1st - Enzo kenneled at Camp Bow Wow Smyrna TN. Lunch at BJ's Brewshouse, Smyrna, TN. Drive to Lynchburg TN, race packet pickup.

2nd - Oak Barrel Half Marathon, Lynchburg, TN. Picked Enzo up from Camp Bow Wow.

3rd - Met with Zach, Christina and the kids for a day at the park.

6th - Dental maintenance appointments and Derek's tooth implant. Lunch at Burger & Company while waiting for Derek's meds.

7th - Olivia comes to stay with us while Melissa is in Florida.

9th - Took the dogs to the dog park, drove to Clarksville, barn photoshoot on the way.

12th - Olivia goes home. Dinner at Hopsmith, Nashville TN.

15th- Olivia comes to stay with us while Melissa is in Colorado. Annual eye-exam and new glasses.

16th - Hiking on the Stones River Greenway with the dogs.

21st -Olivia goes home.

23rd - We are the support crew for Melissa's first solo Half Marathon. Lunch at Double Dog with Mel and Chelsey.

24th - kayaked on Percy Priest Lake, Nashville, TN.

27th - Mel and Martina flying to Germany

28th - Landed in Germany, took the S-Bahn to Backnang then the car to mom and dad's.

29th - Pretzel run/morning run and photoshoot around town. Sitting with mom in her front garden.

30th - Grocery shopping with mom downtown Gaildorf. Walking to the Kirgelturm.

May

1st - Maitag. Melissa and Carina, Benny and friends did a May hike. I did a morning run and then a afternoon hike.

2nd - Melissa and mom cooking pancakes together. Playing Kniffel every night.

3rd - Biking to find the Llamas.

4th - Gardening with mom.

5th - Morning biketour to find the Llamas but found miniature ponies instead.

6th - Sightseeing in Schwaebisch Hall

7th - Train ride to Heidelberg with Carina, Benny, and Melissa and I.

8th - Grilling out at the family land with Roland, Xenia, Carina, Benny, mom, dad, Melissa and I.
Meanwhile, back in the US, Derek is moving Melissa's entire apartment contents from Clarksville to Nashville.

9th - Morning bike ride to find the pony herd but instead find the peacock and other exotic birds.

10th - Morning bike ride to find the Llamas but instead we find a cow herd.

11th - Flight back to US, Melissa's first look at her new apartment.

12th - unpacking Melissa's household goods.

14th - Travel day. Leaving Nashville, TN. Spending a night in Bridgman, MI at Haymarket Brewing, a Harvest Host location.

15th - Arrived at CampIt Outdoor Resort, Fennville, MI. Went to Veldheer's Tulip Farm. Had dinner at Holland Brewing.

17th - Martina's birthday. Grand Haven Lighthouse tour. Lunch at Snug Harbor seafood restaurant. Sampling brews at Odd Side Brewing. Dinner at Holland Brewing Company. South Haven Lighthouse tour

20th - Dinner at South Haven Brew Pub.

21st - St. Joseph Lighthouse and dinner at Silver Harbor Brewing Company.

22nd - Kalamazoo Lighthouse Replica. Climbed the White river Light Station and explored the museum and grounds. Lunch at City Built Brewing Company. Dinner at Saugutauck Brewing Company.

27th - Exploring downtown Holland, MI. Dinner at Holland Brewing Company.

28th - Travel day. Arrived at Buck Lake Ranch.

31st - Travel day. Arrived at the General RV parking lot for maintenance/repairs the next tday.

June

1st - Repairs and maintenance complete, a few exceptions, waiting for parts. Early check in at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping.

8th - Vising and touring Sheboygan Crib, Old Mackinac Point and McGulpin Point lighthouses. Taking the rig to Wayland to fix outstanding repairs.

9th - Repairs being completed at General RV in Wayland Michigan. Drove back to Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping.

10th - Photoshoot at Old Mackinaw Point Lighthouse, and Fort Michilimackinac. Dinner at the Rusted Spoke Brewing Co.

11th - Watching competitions at the 2nd Annual Highland Games, St Ignace. Photoshoot of Wawatam lighthouse.

12th - Ferrytrip to Mackinac Island, circumnavigated the island by bike, hiked Arch Rock, late lunch at Great Turtle Brewery.

13th - Washer/dryer maintenance.

14th - Photoshoot of Charlevoix and Petoskey Bayfront lighthouses. Lunch at Petoskey Brewery.

15th - Searching for Petoskey rock in Petoskey Michigan.

16th - Touring the retired icebreaker USCGC Mackinaw, and the replacement icebreaker in Cheboygan, dinner at Rusted Spoke Brewing.

17th - Moving day from Mackinac City to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Viewing Soo Locks. Dinner at Lock View Restaurant.

18th - Visiting the Bushplane Museum in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada. Lunch at Northern Superior Brewing Co.

19th - Moving day from Sault Ste. Marie to Marquette, Michigan'. Father's Day lunch at Ore Dock Brewing Co.

20th - Biking to Mount Marquette.

21st - Kayaking on Lake Superior. Photoshoot of Marquette lighthouse.

23rd - Moving day from Marquette to Country Village RV in Ishpeming, Michigan.

24th - Hiking to Wright Street Falls.

25th - Biking (16 miles RT) the Iron Ore Heritage Trail to Jerzi's 41. Lunch at Jerzi's 41. Biking back to campground.

26th - Hiking to the CR510 steel truss bridge. Hiking to Forestville Dam Falls. Hiking to Reany and Dead River Falls (waterfalls).

27th - Repairs to the hydraulics on the rig.

30th - Photoshoot of storms over Ishpeming.

July

1st - Fireside evening in the sunshine

2nd - Independence Day Parade in downtown Ishpeming.

3rd - Pictured Rocks NP. Hiking on Miners Beach to Elliot Falls.

4th - Exploring Iroquois, Whitefish Point lighthouse and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Exploring Crisp Point lighthouse.

7th - Toured Seul Choix Point lighthouse, Manistique East Breakwater Light, and Penisula Point Lighthouse.

9th - Pictured Rocks NL. Shipwreck tour, Munsing. Guided kayak tour. Up close view of East Channel Lighthouse on Grand Island.

10th - Repairs to auto leveling system. Moving day from Ishpeming Michigan to Apostle Islands Area Campground in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Touring the Apostle Island NL Visitors Center. Ferry ride to Madeline Island/Big Bay State Park. Adult beverages at 'Tom's burnt out Cafe'.

11th - Derek moves the rig from Bayfield to Grand Portage, Minnesota. Martina drives the Jeep to Duluth's Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center to also view Duluth Harbor South Lighthouse. Martina stops and tours the Two Harvors, Lighthouse and Museum and the Two Harvors Breakwater Light in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Derek and Martina meet up and tour the historic Split Rock Lighthouse. After parking the rig at the campground we drive the Jeep to tour Grand Portage NM. Viewed Grand Marais Lighthouse. Dinner at 'My Sister's Place'.

26th - Driving the Phantom Canyon Scenic Byway, Canon City to Victor, CO.

27th - Hiked the Alta Vista Trail to the overlook, looking back at the big bridge, the canyon and train and rafts on the Arkansas River. Dinner at My Sisters Place.

28th - Drive to Colorado Springs for Enzo's booster shot. Lunch at BJ's, yum! Scenic drive at Garden of the gods. Scenic drive to Pikes Peak summit.

29th - Royal Gorge Route Railroad ride and lunch in the historic Gen. Palmer train car. Wine tasting at the Holy Cross Abby Winery. Tunnel Drive hike. Skyline Drive, Canon City.

30th - Travel day, CO to NM. Pitstop at Fort Union National Monument, NM. Overnight stay at the Lavaland RV Park, Grant, NM.

31st - Travel day, NM to AZ. Pitstop at El Malpais Nationa Monument. Arrived at Grand Canyon National Park, AZ. Evening walk to Mathers Point for sunset pictures with Enzo.

August

1st - Morning run to the G.C. South Rim and back. Evening drive to take sunset pictures and watched baby mule deer playing in a water puddle.

2nd - Bike ride to the South Rim for some Timelapse.

3rd - Bike ride to the South Rim for some Timelapse and photography.

4th - Hiking part the trail of Time along the South Rim and rode bus to Hermits Rest.

5th - Exploring Desert View Point and the pullouts along the way.

6th - Hiked from Hermits Rest to Bright Angel Lodge.

7th - Taking Timelapse and photos at Shoshone Point.

8th - Dropped Derek off at the Bright Angel Trailhead. Dropped Enzo off at the boarding facility in Flagstaff.

9th - Martina rode the mules to Phantom Ranch where I meet Derek. We spend the night at Phantom Ranch in a cabin.

10th - Derek hikes back up to Bright Angel Trailhead while I ride the mule back.

11th - Picked Enzo up from Cinder Hills Flagstaff, dog boarding facility.

12th - Dinner and photoshoot at Bright Angel Lodge.

13th - Sunrise photshoot at the South Rim. Moving day, Grand Canyon to Page Arizona.

14th- Touring the Glen Canyon Dam Bridge and Carl Hayden Visitor's Center, HIstoric Najao Bridge, and Vermillion Cliffs.

16th - Hiking the New Wave.

18th - Hiking/climbing 'The Chains', and 'Hanging Gardens'.

19th - Hiking to 'Horseshoe Bend'.

20th - Sunrise helicopter tour over Glen Canyon NRA, Horseshoe Bend, and Rainbow Bridge. Kayaking to and hiking in Antelope Canyon.

21st -Daytrip to Grand Canyon North Rim, Lunch at historic Grand Canyon Lodge with view of the South Rim. Driving to all pullouts and hiking to viewpoints.

23rd - Timelapse photoshoot.

26th - Hiking to the Glen Canyon Dam and Bridge Overlook trail.

25th - Circumnavigated and explored the little island in Lake Mead by kayak.

27th - Biking the Historic Railroad Trail to the entrance of the 4th tunnel.

28th - Power Plant Tour at Hoover Dam. Dinner at Fox's Smokehouse BBQ.

29th - Biking the Historic Railroad Trail past the 5th tunnel. Dinner at Big T's Cantina.

30th - Appointment at the eye doc. Dinner at Juan's Flaming Fajitas. Viewing vintage cars in downtown Henderson at the Hot Rod Days.

October
1st - Cleaning up the coach and taking valuables to the indoor storage facility.

2nd - packing suitcases for upcoming travel day.

3rd - Packing up the coach, moving coach to storage. Drove Enzo to Dam Dog House kennels for boarding. Checked into airport hotel.

4th - Travel day, Las Vegas to Boston to Amsterdam to Stuttgart. S-Bahn to Bad Cannstatt, train to Gaildorf.

5th - Arrival at Mom&Dad's.

6th - Running in Gaildorf, picking up fresh eggs at the farmers and warm Pretzels for breakfast.

7th - 11th: Taking care of mom, running, cooking, walking, spending time with family.

12th - picking up prescriptions and medications for mom.

13th - 17th: Taking care of mom, running, cooking, walking, spending time with family.

18th - Took the bus to Schwäbisch Hall for a pedicure appointment, lunch and shopping.

19th - 29th: Taking care of mom, running, cooking, walking, spending time with family.

29th - Trip to Schwäbisch Hall for lunch and shopping.

November
2nd - Took the train to the Moevenpick airport hotel in Stuttgart. Rode the S-Bahn to downtown and had dinner.

3rd - Walked from the Moevenpick airport hotel to the airport for our flight to Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, then Las Vegas, NV. Due to long layovers and delays we had to stay downtown Vegas at the Excalibur hotel.

4th - Took an Uber from Excalibur hotel to Lake Mead RV Park, moved the coach to Lakeview #27. Had problems with the house batteries, needed a new battery for the rig. Picked up Enzo from Dam Dog House in Boulder City, NV.

5th - Celebrated our 7th Anniversary.

10th - First time this stay I've seen and got to photograph the wild Rams herd at the city park in Boulder City, NV.

11th - Road-trip to Phoenix, AZ.

12th - Exploring the Hole-in-the Rock archaeological site. Lunch at Tombstone Brewing downtown Phoenix. Attended the Elton John 'Yellow Brick Road' Farewell concert at Chase Field, downtown Phoenix, AZ.

13th - Return trip to Lake Mead RV Park, NV.

16th - Picked Zyon up from Las Vegas airport, dinner at BJ's Brewhouse.

18th - Dinner with Zyon at Gordon Ramsay's Burger bar downtown Vegas, watching the Bellagio fountains, gambling at the slot machines.

19th - Exploring Valley of Fire State Park, NV. Hiked White Domes slot canyon, explored Elephant Rock, Beehives, the Atlatl Rock petroglyphs and Petrified Logs. Dinner at the Dillinger, Boulder City NV.

20th - Hoover Dam 4 stop Tour and walked the O'Callaghan-Tillman Memorial Bridge overlooking Hoover Dam. Dinner at Fox's Smokehouse BBQ.

21st- Drove Zyon to Las Vegas airport for his flight back to TN.

23rd - Dropped Enzo off at Dam Dog House. Travel day from Boulder City NV to The Ranch in Death Valley NP, CA. Sunset at Zabrieski Point.

24th - Exploring Death Valley, hiking on no name trails in 20 Mule Canyon. Driving through Artists Palette. Thanksgiving feast at the Inn at the Oasis.

25th - Exploring Death Valley. Dante's View. Ghost towns.

26th - Leaving Death Valley. Travel day from Death Valley NP, CA to Boulder City, NV. Lunch at Slater's 50/50. Picked up Enzo from Dam Dog House.

27th - Moved the coach from Lakeview #27 to (semi lakeview through the bushes and treeline) #1103, our winter spot until March 2023.

30th - Hummingbird photoshoot

December

2nd - Dental appointment for a cleaning turns 'ugly'. Dinner and a brew at Lovelady Brewing Co.

3rd - Derek flies to Dallas for a conference next week. Martina gets the Christmas decor out and decorates the rig.

5th - Derek returns from Dallas

6th - Exploring Boulder Beach and the washed up/beached boat with a beautiful sunset.

7th - Enjoyable night by the pier pit, watching TV.

10th - Running and exploring the Wetlands Park, Las Vegas. Lunch and a brew at Lovelady Brewing, Henderson NV.

11th - Snow on Mount Charleston NV. Hiking in the snow.

13th - Workout at Planet Fitness. Musical Bingo and burgers for dinner at Street Burger, Henderson NV.

15th - Bust of a movie, brews at Mojave Brewing, Henderson NV.

16th - Movies in downtown Vegas, Avatar, the way of water, 3D.

17th - Running the HIstoric Tunnel Trail, packing for Colorado

18th - Travel day 1: Boulder City to Green River, UT

19th - Travel day 2: Green River, UT to Lone Tree, CO, Melissa's house.

22nd - Overnight 4 inch snowfall and record lows of -15*F. Drove through the snow landscapes from Lone Tree to Conifer CO.

23rd - Daytrip to Rocky Mountain National Park, walking on frozen snowed on Bear Park. Late lunch at Estes Park Brewing Co.

24th - Morning run, lunch at The White Chocolate Grill, Dinner and White Elefant at Ashley's house.

25th - Daytrip to Winter Park Colorado, Lunch at Smokehouse BBQ, snowshoeing Doe Creek Trail, dinner at The Noble Buck.

26th - Daytrip to Estes Park with Melissa, lunch at Ed's Cantina and Grill, snowshoeing around Bear Lake, RMNP, dinner at BJ's in Boulder Colorado.

27th- Travel day1: Last run with Olivia and Marlez, the grand pups. Driving from Lone Tree Colorado via Curecanti NRA to IHG in Montrose Colorado.

28th - Travel day2: Black canyon of the Gunnison NP, Fort Uncompahgre, Basecamp Delta, Old Spanish Trail, Colorado National Monument, to hotel in Moab, UT.

29th Travel day3:- Arches NP, Moab UT.

30th - Travel day4: Canyonlands NP, UT.

31st - Travel day5: Capital Reef, UT, pit stop at Butch Cassidy's boyhood home, to the coach in Lake Mead NRA. Happy New Years Eve.
